I have been working with children, adolescents and adults with mental illness, developmental disabilities and substance abuse for more than 10 years. I have worked in a variety of locations including schools, preschools, psychiatric hospitals, camps, churches, non-profit agencies and other community settings. I have also collaborated with several community agencies to provide services to people in several counties in Eastern North Carolina. I am actively involved with the Arc of Craven County as their Chapter Coordinator and Camp Director and am the Chair for the North Carolina Parent Education Network (NCPEN) for the 2009-2010 fiscal year.
